Abstract
Sample preparation was optimized for MALDI-TOF MS directly from the selective enrichment broth to detect Staphylococcus aureus. A combination of MALDI-TOF MS and the PBP2' latex agglutination assay was applied for MRSA screening and evaluated on 255 clinical samples. MRSA colonisation can be reported already 18-24h after sample collection.Entities:
