Abstract
Operative hysteroscopy may result in profound hyperglycemia and hyponatremia when crystaloids containing glucose are used as a distention medium. Four patients undergoing operative hysteroscopy developed hyperglycemia in proportion to increasing operative time. None of five monitored patients undergoing diagnostic hysteroscopy developed clinically significant hyperglycemia.Entities:
