Abstract
Hand hygiene is a global and critical infection prevention practice across all healthcare settings. Approaches to monitoring hand hygiene compliance vary from simple methods such as direct observation and product usage to more advanced methods such as automated electronic monitoring systems. Current literature supports a multimodal approach, supplemented by education, to enhance hand hygiene performance.Entities:
