Abstract
Factor XIIIa, a blood coagulation factor, has been found in a variety of cell types, including dendritic reticulum cells and fibroblast-like mesenchymal cells. We hypothesized that fibrous papule, a lesion of uncertain histogenesis, was composed of dermal stellate cells and in this report demonstrate that this neoplasm consists of cells that contain this factor. Nevus cells do not contain factor XIIIa.Entities:
