Abstract
Lyme disease Borreliae produces outer surface adhesins to confer bacterial attachment to the extracellular matrix (ECM) components on the surface of mammalian cells. Here, we describe protocols to characterize the activity and specificity of these adhesins by flow cytometry or measurement of the binding of radiolabeled spirochetes to immobilized ECM or mammalian cells.Entities:
