Abstract
Although the reasons for radicalisation appear diverse, the overwhelming majority of radicalised individuals and announcements claiming responsibility for terrorist attacks make reference to the same cause: western military interventions in Muslim countries. This raises the question of the link between radicalisation and geopolitics and the need to identify the motivations and the pathway between radicalisation and violent actions. Keywords: Islamism; geopolitics; géopolitique; islamisme; radicalisation; resentment; ressentiment; terrorism; terrorisme; vengeance
