Bridging Scales in Plant Biology Using Network Science.

Abstract

Three recent studies have captured the organizational properties of plants at each the cellular, organ, and whole organism level. Data abstraction into networks enabled topological analyses to be performed, identifying optimizations within each scale. Multiscale network analysis provides the opportunity to integrate these levels, and quantitatively link genotype to phenotype. Crown
