Abstract
A man with Crohn's colitis developed eosinophilic pneumonia after treatment with sulfasalazine. Challenge with sulfapyridine revealed that this component of sulfasalazine was the likely causative agent. Treatment with olsalazine, a 5-aminosalicylic acid compound (disodium-azodisalicylate), was well tolerated without recurrence of pulmonary symptoms.Entities:
