Abstract
Alcoholism is among the most prevalent of the difficult diseases to establish diagnoses in medicine. This article outlines a number of steps to help in identifying the alcoholic patient. These include: a careful history, several laboratory blood tests, simple paper-and-pencil tests, and recognition of alcohol-related medical disorders.Entities:
