Eimeria maxima: the use of enzyme markers to detect the genetic transfer of drug resistance between lines.

D Rollinson, L P Joyner, C C Norton.

Abstract

Eimeria maxima (Weybridge) and E. maxima (indentata) were distinguished by the electrophoretic mobility of phosphoglucomutase. This enzyme was used as a marker to detect the transfer of methyl benzoquate resistance between resistant and sensitive lines of these parasites.
