Mild to moderate inflammation is observed in addition to fibrotic change (black arrow) and foreign body reaction (open arrow) in both the parietal (A) and visceral (B) peritonea. Foreign body reaction, comprising histiocytes and foreign body-type multinucleated giant cells (black arrowhead) with foreign material (open arrowhead), is noted in the epimysium (H&E, 100×).
