Abstract

The spectrum of disease related to Aspergillus spp. within the lung is variable. The exact nature of any association of Aspergillus spp. either in the development or progression of lung cancer remains unexplored. Infrequent occurrences of pulmonary aspergilloma in the presence of adenocarcinoma of the lung have been reported. We present a rare case of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis associated with an accompanying finding of adenocarcinoma in a patient presenting with fever and a cavitary lung lesion.
