Abstract
Fracture Liaison Service(FLS)was initiated in the late 1990s in Europe then afterwards spread to North America and Australia. The aim of FLS is to prevent secondary fractures after fragility fractures. Because of its usefulness it has become a global success through proof of its high efficacy and cost-effectiveness. The Japan Osteoporosis Society(JOS)initiated Osteoporosis Liaison Service(OLS)in Japan. FLS and OLS have the same aim-to prevent secondary fractures; however, OSL also aims to prevent primary fractures in clinics and the community. JOS created the role of Osteoporosis Manager(OM), which is a coordinator for OLS, and a total of 1,867 OMs have been approved as of March 2017.Entities:
