Abstract
This paper present the results of follow-up examinations of 2801 operated inguinal hernias. In comparison with the high excision of the hernial sac plus "crude suture", the standard Bassini technique produces poorer results as regards recurrence, testicular atrophy and secondary maldescent. The mortality of elective herniotomy was 0.016% in this series.Entities:
