Abstract
OBJECTIVES: Social anxiety disorder (SAD) can be effectively treated with internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy (ICBT), but studies on long-term cost minimisation from a healthcare provider perspective in comparison to an evidence-based control treatment of therapeutic equivalence are lacking. The objective of the study was to determine whether ICBT reduces healthcare costs and use of healthcare resources compared with cognitive behavioural group therapy (CBGT).Entities:

Figure 2Cost-effectiveness acceptability curves for different assumptions of practical capacity. The cost-effectiveness acceptability curves show for different assumptions of personnel’s practical work capacity of their full theoretical capacity, the probabilities that internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy is cost-effective with changes in the amount that society is willing to pay for a unit increase in health-related quality of life, considering healthcare costs.
