Abstract
How stem cells retain their undifferentiated state or how differentiated cells are capable of having dissimilar responses to perturbations are major open questions in plant biology. Cell-specific phytoglobin expression may be one mechanism determining cell fate by the modulation of nitric oxide (NO), affecting cellular hormonal responses and processes such as cell differentiation.Entities:
