Abstract
The literature relating to accessory soleus muscles has been reviewed, and two further cases are here presented. The appearance of two cases in one hospital within a four-year period would suggest that the condition is, after all, not uncommon; prior awareness of it may on occasions permit an expectant approach or (if symptoms related to exertion are present) a planned and conservative surgical procedure.Mesh:
