Abstract
Organo-axial gastric volvulus is a rare postoperative complication of stomach surgeries. A case is presented in which a 43-year-old patient developed acute gastric volvulus 14 months after a laparoscopic fundoplication, diagnosed by preoperative CT scan, and treated by reduction of the volvulus, closing the gap in the pars flaccida, and a sham gastro-jejunostomy, all done laparoscopically. This is being published to highlight one of the rare complications of gastric surgery, which can be treated successfully with the laparoscope.Entities:
