Mesenteric Malperfusion: The Insidious, Dreadful Enemy.

Akiko Tanaka1, Anthony L Estrera2.

Abstract

Mesenteric malperfusion is associated with a poor prognosis. Stent grafting to treat acute type B dissection with malperfusion has been widely accepted. The standard approach for acute type A dissection is central repair. However, mesenteric ischemia may continue to deteriorate. Can an algorithm with fenestration first approach improve the outcomes?
