[Cardiovascular rehabilitation and prevention guideline update].

Abstract

The recent update of the ESC guidelines for cardiovascular disease prevention are in total the sixth review of these recommendations. This manuscript summarizes the newest adaptations and will provide an overview of the major issues regarding cardiovascular disease prevention and cardiac rehabilitation. There are some new aspects according screening, cardiovascular risk assessment and preventive interventions on individual and population basis.
