Abstract
Because of a growing, aging population and a shortage of geriatricians in the United States, the care of geriatric patients will mostly devolve to primary care providers. This article reviews the different aspects of a multidimensional, multidisciplinary geriatric assessment. Assessment tools and training of office staff to take on larger roles can help primary care providers reduce the burden of work associated with performing a comprehensive geriatric assessment.Entities:
