The Editor and Publisher of the journal Avicenna Journal of Medicine regret to announce that the article entitled “Topical vasodilator response in skeletonized internal mammary artery: Is there really a difference?” published on pages 23–27, volume 7, issue 1, has been retracted on the grounds of plagiarism.[1] The article contained a substantial amount of material directly copied from the article that was published in volume 9, issue 4 of the journal Global Journal of Health Science, as “Topical vasodilator response is significantly higher in skeletonized internal mammary artery”.[2] The article was submitted to Avicenna Journal of Medicine on 06-23-2016 and accepted on 10-25-2016 after two cycles of revisions. Another manuscript containing a substantial amount of material directly copied from this article was submitted to the Global Journal of Health Science on 04-28-2016 and accepted on 08-31-2016, and published online on 09/28/2016. Avicenna Journal of Medicine published this article in good faith, and on the basis of signed statements made by the corresponding author regarding the originality of their work and that it has not been published or being considered for publication elsewhere.
