L Britz.

Abstract

With 482 catches between 1949 and 1984, 26 species of the family Culicidae were proved in the district of Leipzig. Anopheles was found in 9 subdistricts. The species were registered according to the subdistrict or region where caught. The species caught in the GDR and in Berlin (West) after 1948/49 were arranged in a table which also includes the authors of catching-publications. Further information on some species has been provided. The findings are documented by cryptograms and adequate symbolic parts.
