Abstract
The influence of denzimol, a new imidazole derivative with anticonvulsant properties, on the disposition of diazepam (1 mg kg-1) was investigated in the rat. Denzimol pretreatment significantly increased plasma and brain concentrations of the benzodiazepine, consistent with reduced total clearance. The results suggest that the increase of diazepam brain concentrations by denzimol may produce enhancement of diazepam activity in the rat.Entities:
