Abstract
With the aid of a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser with energy transmission via a flexible glass fiber, it proves possible under laboratory conditions, to destroy gallstones reliably and reproducibly. Lithotripsy is effected mechanically via a laser-induced local shockwave.Entities:
