Abstract
Lung cancer screening has demonstrated a reduction in lung cancer mortality by 20%. Annual low-dose computed tomography examination in high-risk individuals is now recommended by multiple national health care organizations and is covered under Medicare and Medicaid services. The impact of this public health intervention is projected to increase the case load for the thoracic surgery workforce.Entities:
