Abstract

We present a striking example of hypertrophic olivary degeneration after cerebellar hemorrhage. This case highlights some important teaching points: unique response of the inferior olivary nucleus to de-afferentation, anatomy of Mollaret's triangle and clinical manifestations of disruption in Mollaret's triangle. The purpose of this teaching case is to highlight a rare but important post-stroke complication.
