Abstract
BACKGROUND: Correlated genetic response in survival to selection for high growth has not been reported in giant freshwater prawn (GFP) (Macrobrachium rosenbergii). The main aim of this study was to measure genetic changes and estimate heritability for this character (survival rate) and its genetic associations with body traits in a GFP population selected over eight generations from 2008 to 2015.
