Morphological characterization of the somatostatin-immunoreactive dendritic skin cells in urticaria pigmentosa patients by computerized image analysis.

O Johansson.

Abstract

By means of computerized image analysis, the somatostatin-immunoreactive epidermal and dermal dendritic cells of certain urticaria pigmentosa patients were characterized. The evidence obtained supported the concept that the epidermal cells correspond to the Langerhans cells.
