Abstract
Cultures were obtained of the microbial flora from the skin of the operation site pre-operatively and following preparation of the surgical field with povidone-iodine (PVP-I). Preliminary results indicate that PVP-I is a reasonable and effective antibacterial agent when used to prepare skin for surgical operations.Entities:
