Abstract
Two patients with acute severe asthma who had failed to improve with conventional treatment, mechanical ventilation, and halothane showed prompt bronchodilator response following administration of diethyl ether by inhalation. Airway pressures fell, and there was a dramatic improvement in blood gas analysis and clinical condition.Entities:
