Abstract
Three additional cases of necrotizing sialometaplasia are discussed. Clinical appearance of the lesion is not diagnostic. Microscopy shows pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia, squamous metaplasia, and acinar necrosis. No atypia is seen. Mucoepidermoid and squamous cell carcinoma are frequent wrong diagnoses. All reported lesions have healed without recurrence regardless of therapy.Entities:
