In EOC cells, HDAC inhibition induces IKK-dependent expression of IL-8, which increases EOC cell survival and proliferation. Inhibition of IKK activity suppresses the IL-8 expression, thus potentiating the effectiveness of HDAC inhibitors in reducing tumor growth.
