Abstract
The localization of ANF binding sites in the mammary gland has been performed in virgin and lactating rats using an in vitro autoradiographic procedure performed on slide-mounted frozen sections. The radioligand used was rat [125I]ANF (99-126). It was demonstrated that specific ANF binding sites were present in the secretory cells and also to a lesser extent in acinar lumen. These results suggest that ANF could play some role in the production of fluid during lactation.Entities:
