Abstract
It is important to recognize that patients at high risk for breast cancer may benefit by following breast cancer screening paradigms that are more robust than those recommended for the average-risk population. Assessing individual cancer risk and using guidelines to determine if a patient is a candidate for genetic counseling and possibly genetic testing are essential components to comprehensive breast cancer screening.Entities:
