Abstract
BACKGROUND: The highly burdensome effects of kidney failure and its management impose many life-altering changes on patients. Better understanding of successful coping strategies will inform patients and help health care providers support patients' needs as they navigate these changes together.Entities:

Fig. 3Network of coping strategies used by individuals, by subscales. Black dots represent individuals. Lines connect individuals (black dots) to one or more of the engagement (red square, diamonds, and red circles) and disengagement (blue square, diamonds, and blue circles) strategies used by that person within each of the coping subscales (Panels: a – Primary; b-Secondary; c- Tertiary). In panels a and b, circular nodes represent problem-focused strategies (red circles: problem solving, cognitive restructuring; blue circles: problem avoidance, wishful thinking) and diamonds represent emotion-focused strategies (red diamonds: social support, express emotion; blue diamond: social withdrawal). In panel c, the red square represents all engagement strategies while blue represents all disengagement strategies
