Abstract
BACKGROUND: An insertion/deletion (I/D) polymorphism in the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) gene has been associated with recurrent miscarriage (RM) in several populations. We initiated this study to determine the association, if any, between the I/D polymorphism of ACE gene and RM in Saudi females.Entities:

Demographic clinical characteristics of Saudi patients suffering from RM compared to the control group.

| Number of abortions | 4.51±1.73 | Nil | |
| Number of children | 2.1±0.27 | 3.8±0.22 | 0.04 |
Student ′t′ was used to compare the age, body weight and BMI in patients and controls, while χ2 analysis was used to compare the other parameters. P< 0.05 is considered statistically significant.
