Abstract
Gastric adenocarcinoma is the fifth most common cancer worldwide and is often diagnosed at a late stage with nearly 50% of patients having locally advanced, unresectable, or metastatic disease at the time of presentation. Efforts to improve outcomes in patients with resected and unresectable gastric cancer with various chemotherapy and radiation regimens are ongoing. Appropriate evaluation and management is often not straightforward and requires the input of a multidisciplinary team. There is no consensus as to the best approach for treatment of gastric cancer; however, the available data and our institutional approach to the management of gastric cancer are discussed.Entities:
