Pupilloplasty for pupil size attenuation to prevent pupillary capture: Theory of quintet in glued IOL.

Priya Narang1, Amar Agarwal2.

Abstract

We describe a pupilloplasty procedure to prevent a captive iris and to narrow the pupillary aperture and its associated complications. We also describe 5 surgical techniques in combination-vertical glued IOL, peripheral iridectomy, anterior sclerotomy, pupilloplasty, and application of a trocar anterior chamber maintainer-performed in eyes with a large WTW diameter; that is, the quintet in glued IOL.
