Abstract
Proteoglycans from chicken embryos bind neuralizing and vegetalizing inducing factors. The proteoglycan-factor complexes have no inducing activity. Enzymatic cleavage of the core proteins of the proteoglycans abolishes inhibition of the inducing activity by proteoglycans. The possible significance of the formation of complexes of inducing factors with proteoglycans is discussed.Entities:
