Abstract
Supplementary RNA genes synthesize very little RNA in oocytes at the end of pachytene, and most actively in oocytes at mid diplotene. At this time of oogenesis numerous single nucleoli are formed. In the course of vitellogenesis the rate of rRNA synthesis decreases significantly. Eggs with one to four nuclei no longer contain the supplementary rDNA.Oocytes of late pachytene to beginning diplotene form much RNA of small molecular weight.During vitellogenesis none of the RNA synthesized in the follicular cells is transferred to the oocytes.Entities:
