Abstract
The selective mu and delta ligands [3H]DAGO and [3H]DPDPE have been used to investigate the distribution of specific opioid subtypes in the rat small intestine by in vitro autoradiography. There was a greater density of [3H]DPDPE binding at regions of the villi and crypts than [3H]DAGO binding. These results suggest that the opioid receptors located in these regions are predominantly of the delta subtype.Entities:
