Abbreviations: CSF, cerebrospinal fluid; IQR, interquartile range.
Partial correlation controlling for age and sex.
The median of the apolipoprotein subspecies do not sum up to the total apolipoprotein concentration because the ranking of the study participants by the two subspecies is not identical (the midpoint of the frequency distribution of the subspecies originates from different individuals). The median total apolipoprotein concentration is based on the sum of the subspecies from the same individual.
