Abstract
BACKGROUND: Discrepancies have been reported in the prevalence rate of restless legs syndrome (RLS) among different ethnic groups and geographic populations. Furthermore, there are disagreements on determinant factors and associated comorbidities of RLS. We aimed to estimate prevalence of RLS and investigate its associated comorbid conditions and risk factors in a large population-based door-to-door survey.Entities:

RLS: restless legs syndrome; OR: odds’ ratio; CI: confidence interval; SCI: subjective cognitive impairment.
Univariate comparisons (unadjusted) have been performed by means of Pearson Chi square test.
Multivariate binary regression models with forward conditional method have been used to adjust comparisons for age, gender, level of education and smoking.
Statistical significant differences are highlighted with bold font (p-value<0.05).
Multivariate binary logistic regression models to indicate independent determinants of restless legs syndrome in the entire study population.
