Abstract
We report a case of renal hamartoma (angiofibroma) which contained nests of renal cell (Grawitz) tumor and review the literature regarding this subject. We believe that the finding of Grawitz tumor cells within a mesodermal tumor supports our hypothesis that renal cell (Grawitz) tumors are of mixed (mesodermal and endodermal) origin, that is, they show at least one important biological characteristic of carcinosarcomas.Entities:
