Abstract
OBJECTIVE: In this study, we sought to better understand the immunoregulatory function of stem cells derived from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED). We studied the role of the interferon gamma (IFN-γ)-indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO)-axis in immunoregulation of SHED compared to bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs) under the same conditions.Entities:

Concentrations of cytokines and indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) activity in supernatants of the Ab-, simple- and MT-co-cultures as determined by ELISA (cytokines) or colorimetric method (IDO). The corresponding P values (one-way ANOVA) are shown in the right of its column (the upper and lower p-values correspond to the differences between the simple co-cultures and either the Ab- co-cultures or MT-co-cultures).
