P W Taylor.

Abstract

Two cases of inflammation of the deep infrapatellar bursa of the knee are reported. The first represents the fifth case of infection of the deep infrapatellar bursa that has been reported, and the second represents the first report of gout in the deep infrapatellar bursa. The cases are discussed with emphasis on their importance in the evaluation of the painful knee.
