Abstract
Fat embolism syndrome presented with the classical triad of respiratory manifestations (95%), cerebral effects (60%) and Petechial rash (33%). Focal neurological symptoms in the form of combined bilateral cortical blindness and motor aphasia even prior to respiratory symptoms have been never reported in previous literature. We describe a case of these rare focal neurological symptoms secondary to the fat embolism syndrome in a young adult male following closed femur fracture.Entities:
