Abstract
Ga prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET/CT is increasingly used to evaluate extent of disease in prostate carcinoma. We present a case of subacute cortical cerebral infarct showing focal uptake on PSMA PET/CT. It is an important potential cause of false-positive uptake in this imaging cohort. The patient is an 85-year-old man with a background of nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis and previous cerebrovascular events. He was referred for PSMA PET/CT for staging of high-risk prostate cancer.Entities:
