Abstract
The case of a 68 year-old woman with Garcin syndrome on the basis of a metastasis of the skull from a mammary carcinoma is described in detail. Most cases of unilateral multiple brain nerve lesions are due to primary or secondary bone tumours, a few cases are of an inflammatory origin. In the majority of cases not all twelve brain nerves are affected. The various syndromes with different localization on the basis of the skull are listed in a table. The destruction of the base of skull may be seen on plain X-rays or on a computed tomogram.Entities:
